This poster series was designed to promote a lecture series about different professional aspects of the art field. As the target audience were art students, I chose to use paint strokes as the central element that connects all posters together visually.
Client
Lake Forest College, Art Department
Challenge
To create a unified series of posters advertising a program of lectures, while adhering to the College’s brand guidelines.
Solution
To appeal to the target audience, I used a worn brushed effect on the images of the speakers and paint strokes in various colors to frame the titles. This allowed the important elements to stand out from the main brand color of red, whereas the different colors for each brushstroke let the viewer know they’re dealing with a new poster without having to explicitly read the title.
